TSE Steel Ltd. is a member of the Partners in Injury Reduction (PIR) Program that operates through the combined efforts of the Alberta Workers’ Compensation Board and the Alberta Human Resources and Employment Department. TSE Steel Ltd. maintains a Certificate of Recognition (COR) through the Manufacturer’s Health & Safety Association and are continuously developing and expanding its safety program to meet or exceed legislative requirements.
TSE Steel Ltd. strives to provide a safe workplace in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements by:
- Identifying and eliminating or controlling hazards and correcting unsafe conditions.
- Providing guidelines for safe work practices and procedures.
- Ensuring that employees have the appropriate skills and training to perform their work assignments.
- Providing appropriate personal protective equipment to employees.
- Developing and maintaining systems within the safety program including maintenance, inspections, accident investigations, emergency procedures, and record keeping.
- Providing WHMIS Training for all employees.
The Manufacturer’s Health and Safety Association have trained members of our staff and management in the following courses:

- Accident Investigation
- Auditor Training
- Effective Claims Management
- First Aid
